I am convinced that my economics class is out to get me. Many a time (twice in a week) should I have won the prize... and both times was I denied that. The first time, we played a game in which the class basically competed as suppliers to generate the most profit. My team won, thanks to my unrelenting lack of cooperation and continuous backstabbing tactics, however, having won, we were then told that the entirety of the class had made the exact same mathematical error (not subtracting the intial "venture capital" we were given to start the game) and therefore, all were disqualified. This of course is suspicious in and of itself in the sense that everybody made the same mistake, which I find hard to believe. I tend to doubt that the instructions were exceptionally clear... but I don't remember. Another question is whether the situation merited the venture capital as debt or not. Anyhow.... today, we were playing a game in which we were basically controlling a computer model of a soda retailer, and just as the class finished the rounds, I was successfully able to amass 9903 dollars, which was greater than any other person in the class by about 2k. Because that round was interrupted by the finishing of the game, we were told by the class which refused to let us win, that we weren't to win the prize. Furthermore, based on this irrefutable evidence, I hate my economics class because they have unyieldingly screwed me. Not as people... but merely as classmates.
