Some notes from last night (Nov. 7, Elections.):
10:36 PM EST: Bush is winning. Things are looking mildly grim.
11:02 PM EST: Bush 217, Gore 230. It's SO CLOSE!
And now, 6:45AM EST, the next morning: The count is 260 Gore to 246 Bush. The vote is being checked in Florida, the only state that really matters left to be determined. With it's 25 electoral votes, whoever wins Florida, wins the country (the reason for this being whomever gets to 270 first, basically wins, and in this case, whoever gets the 25 from Florida, gets to 271, at which point it's all over.). I really believe that Nader had something to do with all this. He didn't even get his 5%. Damn Nader. Now we are faced with the possibility of a republican controlled House, Senate and President. Things could turn out VERY grim.
