As of today, I will be leaving for camp until August 8th. I will not be maintaining this blog from there.

Don't send me email either. I won't get it.

Let it be known, I am going through a massive reconstruction of the random.thoughts website. Please bear with me as I modify the code to fit the inasphere.com layout. This may not be complete until sometime in August, due to the fact that I will be unable to reach a computer from July 7th to August 8th.
Oh yeah, I've been commercialized. I've got ad-banners now, and I'm not even getting money from them. Disgusting. Well, I am, indirectly I suppose... If you don't want to deal with ads, go get Naviscope. It's a great utility for blocking ads and doing other useful things.
Ok, as another note, if there are problems found with this such as broken links and such, report them to me using the feedback link at the bottom of each blog entry.
Woo hoo! I've got a new host, although it's not traxit.com... It's inasphere.com! Whoopee! Waloo.Org will still get you where you're supposed to be, however if you are really irritated by that ad bar at the bottom, you can now use http://www.inasphere.com/tech/waloo to get there.

I'm feeling so unpatriotic. I mean really. Here I am, ~11:30 on July 4th, blogging. I didn't watch any fireworks, or sing the national anthem, or anything. The total list of things I did today is as follows:
• Wake up.
• Eat breakfast
• Go kayaking
• Go swimming after kayaking
• Eat some food (not really lunch at that point...)
• Wander around aimlessly
• Pack stuff for trip back to Harvard (i.e. get all the stuff I might have left in Maine and regretted...)
• Load up the car
• take a 3 hour car ride home
• Check email
• Spend an hour chatting with somebody from Hawaii
• Blog.
• Buy a book on Amazon in the idea that it will get here before I leave in 3 days for camp...
• And that's about it.

So, perhaps part of the reason I'm feeling so unpatriotic is that I see nothing suggesting I should feel patriotic or something like that except perhaps the abundance of "Independence Day Sale!"'s I keep seeing. It just seems that this holiday has lost meaning, and has become this commercial excuse for sales and other such things. Well... enough of this, I need to get to sleep.

Well... today is my last day in Maine for a very long time. For the next two days, I will be cherishing my very nice lifestyle, and then, off to, what my friends have dubbed it, "commie camp." Really it's not, but they think it is. You see, in actuality, it's a camp that's international, and based around spreading culture and building friendships and whatnot. A bunch of kids (actually not very many, usually from 15 to 30) go to one of the six camp locations open that summer, located around the world, and spend about a month doing various activities such as outdoor things (such as soccer or capture the flag), singing, and other activities led by campers to educate other campers in some craft or something else. Anyhow, it's very fun, and it also allows for traveling, in a somewhat limited sense. When I first went, two summers ago, I was granted the opportunity to go to Italy for a month. It was great. I didn't go last year, and this year, I'm going, but instead of overseas, I am going to a location in Maine, near to Bar Harbor.

Well, enough about that. Oh dear. Time to embark on the 2.5-3 hour trip back to Harvard! Adios to all! (for now...)

Another thing I neglected to mention was that yesterday I saw a very funny thing. You see, while we were waiting to eat lunch yesterday, in the parking lot, there was this truck, and in the back, there were 3 very intimidating looking rottweilers (sp?). So later on, this family comes in, and following them is this little tiny white dog, it couldn't have been longer than 2 feet in length, meaning it was really scrawny. So, what happens is this little tiny dog goes charging towards these rottweilers(sp?) barking like mad, and the rottweilers respond by barking back, and struggling against their chains (they were held in the back of the truck with these very large chains.) It was hilarious because the contrast between these dogs and was quite amusing. This miniscule little dog attempting to confront these chained and massive dogs. I don't know. It was funny.

The good food never stops here. For dinner, I have just consumed grilled salmon, marinated in a number of good things, including, but not limited to, basil, soy sauce, tabasco, olive oil, garlic and a number of other very tasty things.

Salmon is good too.

So anyway, life in Maine is great. And continues to be great. I get to eat good food, I get to go kayaking (as I did today) and the weather around now is spectacular. The resort called Sebasco down the coast from us (I don't know how far, but it's very close, less than a mile I'd think) is apparently launching fireworks today. My bet is it's either a test for 2 days from now, or it's a show for the weekend visitors who are going back to whatever job or requirement they have wherever they live. Moving on, I've begun the transition from hosting my site on russell.stadler.com to some space on traxit.com. The address will remain the same, http://www.waloo.org, so if all goes well, there should be downtime sometime this week (before thursday) in the time period from 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM during which I will be reconfiguring my redirection services among other things, such that I will be hosted on traxit.com. Well, I've become bored, and feel the need to play a multiple story robot loaded w/ futuristic weaponary, so, I'm off to play some Mechwarrior 3. It's a fun game. Adios.

Quick note: Note the new link on the right, and go to inAsphere.com. Check out the cool beta.
